Chair Spacing & Clearance

When placing chairs around a conference table, note that:

• A compact arrangement would allow for 20~ cm / 7.9" between chairs.
• A spacious arrangement would allow for 45~ cm / 17.9" between chairs.

In both cases, you will need a minimum of 75 cm / 29.5" behind the chairs for clearance.

Conference Table Clearance & Circulation

The dimension required around a meeting room table depends on the number of people it accommodates:

• The minimal size of clearance for seating is 75 cm / 29.5".
• When both clearance and circulation are needed, the dimensions around a table should be 150 cm / 59.2" (75 cm / 29.5" seating clearance + 75 cm / 29.5" walking circulation).
• For a large conference table seating more than six people, consider a double walking route of 2.25 cm / 88.6" on at least one of its sides to ensure a good circulation flow.
  

Whiteboard Clearance

The space in front of a whiteboard should be large enough for the presenter to move freely and write comfortably. In that respect, ensure a clearance of 120 cm - 150 cm~ / 47.2" - 59.1" in front of it, which will enable approaching it from various angles.

Viewing Distance Between Screen To Seating

Meeting rooms often facilitate presentations. Therefore, it's essential to place a screen in an adequate size within a reasonable distance from the conference table.

• Correlate the screen size with the table size; a compact four-person table will suit a 50"~ screen, and a spacious ten-person table can afford a 100"~ screen.
• A general guideline for a viewing distance between a screen and a conference table is multiplying the diagonal screen size by 1.2 to 1.5 to determine the approximate viewing distance range. The outcome is the distance between the screen and the table's middle.
